On April 27, 2019, the Plains Medical Foundation hosted their fourth Hats and Heels Gala at Sunrise Farms in Nazareth, Texas. This week, November 12 – 16 is Antibiotic Awareness Week. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is advising patients and their families to use antibiotics only when necessary to further reduce antibiotic resistance, the spread of superbugs, and protect patients from side effects from antibiotics. Cologuard and DNA Stool Testing

Castro County Healthcare introduces Cologuard DNA stool testing through the Medical Center of Dimmitt. This DNA stool testing is intended to screen adults of either sex, 50 years or older, who are at average risk for colon cancer. Cologuard is also covered by Medicare. Laura Kimball named Administrator at Country View Living

Country View Living is set to finish construction by December 27, 2018. With this date quickly approaching, Castro County Healthcare District (CCHD) has hired Laura Kimball as the Administrator at Country View Living.
