Skating with Safety

“Safety First” is what the Castro County Healthcare’s Injury Prevention Committee addressed to children at the Dimmitt Skate Park on Saturday, June 9th. The committee invited Proletariat Skateboard Company in Lubbock, Texas, who came and hosted a competition for those in attendance. It was a fun way to provide information on safety to the children in the community. Medical Center of Dimmitt Awarded $5000.00 Grant

The Medical Center of Dimmitt received a grant from Superior HealthPlan. The Regional Grant Committee approved a grant of $5000.00 to be used for clinic improvements to enhance the health and well-being of patients. The grant was written by Clinic Director at the time, Rachel Batenhorst, and submitted during the Third Quarter of 2017. 44th National EMS Week

May 20 through 26 is the 44thannual National EMS Week. Since 1974, this week has been used to celebrate and honor those who are on the ‘front line’ of medical emergencies and provide day-to-day lifesaving services to our community. May 23 is a day dedicated to raising awareness about specialized emergency care for children, called Emergency Medical Service for Children (EMSC) Day. ‘Betty’s Buddies’ raised over $4,000.00 at Fundraiser

Last week during National Hospital Week CCHD had many events that honored those who provide quality healthcare to the Castro County Community. Even throughout all the food and fun CCHD raised $4,422.00 for one of their employee’s. On Thursday, May 10th, CCHD with the help of Hands of Hope and the Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held a ‘Fiesta Fundraiser’ for their friend and coworker, Betty Oltivero. National Hospital Week Focuses on Caring for You

DIMMITT – National Hospital Week is May 6 – 12, and during that time Castro County Hospital District will be honoring their 120 employees, who have dedicated their time to the healthcare in Castro County and the surrounding area.
