Castro County Healthcare has a new, but a familiar, face directing the Castro County Swing Bed Program. As of December 2019, Monia Ann Venhaus, RN became the new Swing Bed Coordinator at Castro County Healthcare (CCHD). Country View Living (CVL), the new long-term living facility, in Dimmitt, TX is having another CNA class, starting in January 2020. CVL has already held four CNA classes this year (2019) and have had a 100% passing rate. A CNA is an important piece of the workflow at CVL. Nurses depend heavily on the CNA’s when it comes to the resident’s care. CNA’s are the nurses and doctors ‘eyes and ears’ during their shift. Country View Living, the long-term living facility in Dimmitt, TX, has dedicated time in educating young professionals on how to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Dr. Alvarez has been working in the hospital ER for a few months but has also been seeing patients by appointment at the Medical Center of Dimmitt since October 1, 2019.   Previously, Dr. Alvarez was working for a company that had ER coverage at hospitals, mainly in smaller, rural areas. Castro County Healthcare welcomes back one of their own, Dr. Gregorio Matos.
