Country View Living (CVL), the new long-term living facility, in Dimmitt, TX is having another CNA class, starting in January 2020. CVL has already held four CNA classes this year (2019) and have had a 100% passing rate. A CNA is an important piece of the workflow at CVL. Nurses depend heavily on the CNA’s when it comes to the resident’s care. CNA’s are the nurses and doctors ‘eyes and ears’ during their shift. Country View Living, the long-term living facility in Dimmitt, TX, has dedicated time in educating young professionals on how to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). They have held four CNA classes, with a 100% passing rate. Plains Memorial Hospital (PMH) offers patients extended care for a smoother transition through their Swing Bed program. Swing Bed can serve each patient differently, especially for extended care following an extensive surgery, neurological disorders such as stroke, generalized weakness due to certain chronic condition, and when someone no longer needs acute care but they are not quite ready to go home.   The Recovery Near Home program (Swing Bed) at Plains Memorial Hospital allows them to receive the extended care they need without the need to change facilities. On April 27, 2019, the Plains Medical Foundation hosted their fourth Hats and Heels Gala at Sunrise Farms in Nazareth, Texas. The 2019 Gala was also a record setting year in sponsorship donations and earnings for the Castro County Hospital District.
