Behind every successful team is a successful leader. The Medical Center of Dimmitt is spotlighting their leader, Linda Aguero, Clinic Director for the month of March. Linda has been with CCHD for seven years and has held multiple positions during that time.
She started with the hospital on the floor as an RN (Registered Nurse) and moved to Charge Nurse and ER Nurse. After three years at the hospital she was asked to fill in at the clinic and has loved it ever since. She began as Dr. Altenberg’s nurse, and when he left, she became Peggy Birkefeld’s, FNP-C nurse. While working that position she gained the title of nursing supervisor. Then the position of Clinic Director became available and she moved into that role and has held that title for almost two years now.
“I love coming to work every day and I love that everyone in the clinic works so well together,” said Linda Aguero. “Everyone’s roles at the clinic are important in making our patient’s experience a good one. I know I work with a great group of people making a difference in our patient’s lives.”
Over the past two years, Linda has grown into her role at the clinic. She has implemented multiple new programs including the diabetic education classes, the ASN program, and the G.E.T Fit program, among others, to the Castro County community through the Medical Center of Dimmitt. There is a lot of different things that happen behind the scenes to make the clinic run smoothly. Each staff member serves a role in providing high quality healthcare to our community, and Linda works daily to make sure the clinic reaches that desired value.
