Jessica de Lima wins $375.00, a $50.00 Academy gift card, and a $10.00 Starbuck’s gift card by losing 10.05% in weight during CCHD’s 2019 Biggest Loser Competition. Lima competed against 25 other participants who signed up, but only 10 of those came to the final weigh in and had a chance to win. Country View Living continues to complete their next steps in becoming a licensed skilled nursing facility. In March, CVL was waiting for the state to come and complete their health inspection, the last point they needed on their check list. On April 18, 2019, CVL passed their health inspection becoming a licensed skilled nursing facility. Upon completion CVL has been in contact with the state department waiting for their inspection to be process so they could begin admitting the 40 residents on their waiting list. The American Occupational Therapy Association has declared the month of April as Occupational Therapy Month. Her love of helping people is what drew her to a career in nursing. On March 26, 2019 Castro County Hospital District (CCHD) proudly presented their new long-term and senior living facility, Country View Living (CVL), to the community, with an exciting grand opening. Over 600 people from Castro County and the surrounding area came to see the 60-bed facility. If you have driven by the new long-term care and senior apartment living facility, Country View Living (CVL), this past week you may have noticed more cars than usual. The facility that was recently built at the intersection of Butler Blvd. and Front Street in Dimmitt, Texas opened their doors to the public on March 11, 2019, inviting them to come and enjoy a cup of coffee.
